“Alien”

This quirky little guy was done for a request for a competition calling for crystals used in their natural state. It features a dalmatian drusy crystal with an unusual blue margin, and a natural black tourmaline crystal at the bottom. The piece is set on an embossed plate with an iridescent patina with violet, blue and green colors. He can be worn as a pendant or a brooch.

Now use your imagination: He has a robe with a stand-up collar, a whimsical Picasso type of face where things aren’t quite where they’re supposed to be, a necklace of flowers, and his two black feet planted firmly because he’s not too sure how to use them yet. After all, he only has the vaguest idea of what we look like, and he’s trying to make an impression as the ambassador of his planet.

Materials: Sterling silver, dalmatian drusy crystal, black tourmaline crystal.
