Bear Claw and Turquoise Pendant
This is a natural black bear claw. This one was not made by me, but another artist I traded with. I do make bear claw jewelry, but they are usually as commissions. Hunters send me their claws to make into mementos. In Indian legend, bears are considered to be courageous and intelligent. Many people consider it to be an animal fetish (a symbol representing the animal) that imbues the wearer with these qualities.
It has a turquoise stone, probably stabilized to prevent color change. The turquoise is a beautiful typically clear turquoise color. It has decorative scroll work and leaves on the cap. It has a rectangle link chain.
This is a good men’s choice for jewelry as it looks masculine when worn by a man.
But that doesn’t mean a woman can’t wear it.
