This pendant has a fingernail-sized fire agate on it. Fire agate is often mistaken for an opal because of the flashes of light within the brown base. This one has flashes of bright green, golden yellow and fiery red whenever light strikes it.
The pendant has a pattern of bright stars and a zig-zag of lightning on a matte surface. This piece is cast by using an ancient method of carving a pattern into soft volcanic rock called tufa. This method has to use a gravity flow to fill the mold rather than centrifugal force or vacuum to fill the space. Because it has to use such a large cavity, the resulting cast has a substantial weight.
There is a hidden bail on the back of the pendant that is large enough to accept a variety of chain widths, including most omega chains. It comes with a sterling silver round snake style chain.
This is an original one-of-a-kind design that I have carved and cast with my own hands. It comes with a round snake chain included. This is quality marked with sterling and signed. It comes attractively gift boxed, ready for presentation.
